The Stainless Steel Scarf

Pattern:  Kusha Kusha Scarf
Yarn:  Habu Textiles A-177 Super Fine Merino (brown), Habu Textiles A-20/21 1/20 silk stainless steel (maroon).
Needles:  US 3 - 3.25 mm, US 4 - 3.5 mm, US 6 - 4.0 mm US 8 - 5.0 mm  All bamboo straights.
Comments:  I started out with Addi Turbo needles--too slippery!  Moved to Susan Bates--still too slippery.  Bamboo straights did the trick.  This was a fairly tedious knit, as it's all knit in stockinette stitch; the first half with two yarns and the last half with the smaller needles and just the silk-wrapped stainless yarn.  The fine stainless steel gives the scarf a life of its own in that it can be molded and scrunched to look nicely casual and, above all, unique.

Ditto again! This must be contagious - the YarnHarlot recently knit a stainless steel scarf too.
