Happy Easter!

Spring is here and we made it through the winter!

This lovely little Bougainvillea Bonsai that my son gave me for Mother's day last year has blossomed again!  Meagerly, I admit.  And strangely, as it has done so on a wild shoot.
Bonsai has faithfully stayed green on the windowsill above my kitchen sink. Do I wait until it's done blooming and then trim back?  If I don't trim it, will it get gigantic and out of shape?

There is a seller on eBay that sells a plant fertilizer for bougainvillea called BOGAIN. Do a google search for it. I think I paid about $10 for it. Anyhow, it is specifically for bougainvillea and they will really bloom with a bit of feeding!

I read somewhere to let bougainvillea overwinter in a dark, cool cellar and not to water more than monthly. Sadly, I forgot to water at all and they are now just sticks! bah I do love bougainvillea!

Pat from Pat's Knitting and Quilting blog linked to your sock patterns today. They are lovely and I have printed off several of them. Thank you for posting them!

Hello,

Lovely pictures you have. I never see this kind of plant made into a Bonsai - they are actually big wild bushes. In Thailand we call it Feugn-Fa
