Floral Surprise

A friend from my knitting club brought this bouquet of peonies to me yesterday, and I wanted to share it with you. Isn't it lovely? Reminds me of June weddings in small towns years ago.
Thank you, Deanne!

I used to have six giant Peony bushes alongside of our house. Then two summers ago DH decided to re-landscape. I requested that if he was not going to keep my peonys were they were, that he re-use them elsewhere. He transplanted ONE of them and turned his nose up at the rest of my beautiful peony bushes. Hateful man. I plan on going out and buying six plants this month and planting them somewhere front and center. I am tired of my peonyless existance.

NOTE - Hateful man was not DH but the landscape guy he hired. Peony snob.

Beautiful flowers - around here that June small town flower is a rambling rose - of which we have an abundance!

I have a peony bush outside the kitchen window with a bird feeder rising from a pole in the middle of it. It's a nice spot for the birds. Mine haven't bloomed yet though.

I've thought about transplanting it but now I think I like it there.
