Pink and Orange Socks

Yarn: Ty-Dy Socks, colorway #1289
Pattern: My plain vanilla sock pattern
Needles: #1 (2.25mm) dpns

Comments: I like pink and orange together. Think '70s Flower Child. But you normally don't see them in the same garment. When I started these socks, I wasn't sure I liked the drab colors that went with them, particularly the gold. Still not sure.

Some are winners, some are not.

I love them. I'm not normally a fan of pink or orange, but those socks really look great.

I have always liked pink and yellow together too. Very pretty socks!

Perfect ice cream socks. The gold is the cone topped by yummy berry sherbets.

The stitch definition is wonderful

I love pink and orange too, but only since I had my dd. She loves those combos together and there is quite a few bits of clothing in that color combo, but only for kids. I've made a couple of hats in that colorway and also a tank or a dress in that colorway.

LOVE your socks. And as soon as I finish the socks for said DD, I plan on starting some malabrigo in Winterscape.

Isn't the material lovely and soft, though?

They look like HAPPY socks to me! (That was my first thought when I saw them!) ;O) They're SO much better than anything I've been working up lately! LOL!

These are winners! The pink and orange match the sunset in your banner at the top of this page.

They look very springy! : ) But I agree about the gold... the sections are so long they kind of dominate.

Great colors you are so ready for spring/summer!

They remind me of sweetie wrappers - the ones that are coloured foil with a cellophane overlay - Cadbury's Roses if they have such a thing across the pond - and very spring like
