My plans were to paint my office. That's a job that will have to wait until winter arrives. two short bookcases will be added and I'll post more when it's finished. Now I need to sort through software and old computer paraphernalia. (And get rid of lots of junk.)
Yes, those are knitting needles in that vase and one stray pencil, a memento of a book club retreat!

I walked around a couple hours the other morning like this and nobody noticed.
Slippers from Target. Cheap and good. I have 4 pairs, no wonder I get mixed up. Jammies also Target (Nick & Nora brand). One could surmise that I was either visually impaired before the purchase of the pajamas or afterward, being quite blinded by the sight.

As I live and breathe (and knit) a pair of socks is emerging from my two sets of double point needles. Using Kroy sock yarn in a lovely shade of charcoal, I am creating my first pair of socks. The pattern is "Beginner's Lightweight Socks" from Knitting Pure and Simple.
Somewhere I read that if you do both socks at the same time, you won't end up with the dreaded "one sock syndrome." And it is supposed to help you keep the socks the same size. Sure. Let's see if I can get them both the same length now.
